By JANE C on 27 February 2018 | Verified purchase

We had a perfectly pleasant buying experience at Firstline Cars. The salesman was helpful and courteous and we bought a car. Good outcome all round and we were happy. Also not buying cars very often the bewildering paperwork was handled efficiently. Thank you.

    DO NOT USE

By Anonymous on 21 May 2026 | Purchase not verified

Extremely disappointing experience from start to finish.Within the first 30 days the car developed multiple faults despite hardly being driven. A gasket issue was identified at purchase and the vehicle had to be returned. Following that, a new issue developed involving the engine warning light and the car had to go back again. Most recently, the vehicle developed a loss of power issue. My biggest concern was the pattern of faults. After each repair attempt, a new issue appeared. Rather than building confidence that the problems had been resolved, each return left me increasingly concerned about the overall condition, reliability and quality of the vehicle. I do not believe a dealer-supplied car should require repeated repairs within weeks of purchase.I requested invoices and written evidence for repair work on multiple occasions so I could understand exactly what had been done to the vehicle. Despite repeated requests, these were never provided. As a customer, I do not think it is unreasonable to expect documentation for work carried out on a car I had just purchased. The customer service throughout was extremely poor. Communication was inconsistent, messages were often read and ignored, and direct questions repeatedly went unanswered. Instead of receiving clear information or updates, I found myself constantly having to chase for responses. As a customer trying to resolve ongoing issues with a newly purchased vehicle, this was frustrating and unprofessional.I was also extremely concerned by the security and professionalism surrounding vehicle collections and returns. On one occasion, the keys were left sitting on the tyre of the vehicle. On another occasion, the car was left unlocked and there was nobody present, resulting in assistance having to be sought from a random member of the public. For a business handling customers' vehicles, I found this completely unacceptable and it raised serious concerns about how vehicles and customer property are handled. To add further frustration, suggestions were later made that the vehicle may have been driven “carelessly.” The car had hardly been used since purchase and was driven normally. When I asked for clarification and evidence supporting that allegation, none was provided.I made every effort to be reasonable throughout, allowing opportunities for repairs and trying repeatedly to resolve matters directly. Unfortunately, the combination of repeated faults, poor communication, lack of documentation and concerns regarding professionalism and security made this an incredibly stressful experience.Based on my experience, I would strongly advise anyone considering purchasing a vehicle to carry out thorough checks, request written documentation for all work completed and keep a record of all communication.

    Many surprises!

By Anonymous on 18 May 2026 | Purchase not verified

Spoke to these guys *personal info removed by Feefo* about a car he currently has for sale. I explained I’d be travelling for 2 hours each way to look at the car so I needed to know all the details about the car beforehand. I also offered to pay list price provided the car was as described. However, there turned out to be many surprises with the car upon arrival which was not disclosed to me over the phone or over message. To name a few: The owner history was incorrect, there was 2 previous owners not 1, despite the listing details. When challenged on this he denied it and I had to say I’d payed for an owner report for him to accept. The parking sensors didn’t work, which he said was a new issue that was a simple cheap fix he hadn’t got round too.All of the alloys needed refurb, which he said not to worry they would be a cheap fix.The worst of all, the central screen that displayed faults, engine data, and other details was broken / disconnected. When we got there the car was warm, and when started it made a fault sound from the display but I couldn’t see what the fault was due to the screen not working. He said his friend could fix this for £250 if I drove the car to portsmouth. The part had to come from China apparently as this is the supplier he’s been using for the last 10 years. The engine sounded rough for a diesel, it was clunkier than my Land Rover with 200K on the clock. Our 4 hour round trip could have been avoided with a more honest depiction of the car. They also managed to quite impressively “wipe” the Audi badge off when cleaning apparently. It was however, safely stowed in the glove box for later use though. *personal info removed by Feefo* was very socialable and comical, akin to *personal info removed by Feefo* This place was also called singh autos which did car repairs I believe, but unsure as it seemed to have a few different names on the sign posts.
